What a handsome fellow I must say! Who's that weirdo beside him? Catfish Willie, (as though you needed to ask.) He had a great repetroire of politically incorrect songs like 'Big Fat Mamas are Back in Style' and 'Nosey Joe' (the nosiest guy in town.) Lots of swinging humourous material and (most importantly!)....he had some gigs.
This was a great opportunity to do something different, like play the upright bass. I was amazed to find that I actually had a pretty good ear for it; henceforth I had to stop looking at the bass player as the guy you turned around and yelled at when something didn't sound right. No point in yelling at the drummer! (Anyway, we didn't have a drummer, but again I digress.)
